Mission
The Shreveport Historic Preservation Society is a non-profit organization with a mission to identify, document, and encourage the preservation of our historic buildings, places, and character, for the benefit of future generations, through education, public awareness and out-reach.
About Us
The Shreveport Historic Preservation Society received its official status as a 501(c)3 organization on July 3, 2007. Concerned citizens, including historic preservationists, architects, educators, media professionals, and non-profit professionals, believe that a real need exists for an organized effort to preserve Shreveport’s history as exemplified by its buildings and architectural legacy.
